The Client

Taekwang Industrial Group began as a shoe factory built in 1971 by its late founder Park Yeon-cha. In the 1990s, Taekwang first entered Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia and developed into a supplier of sports shoes for major global sports brands, such as Nike. This is the first generation Korean company to enter Vietnam and currently has about 70,000 employees at manufacturing plants around the world.

Risks & Consequences

The products used in Control rooms such as control cabinets, electrical cabinet, power cable.., are highly flammable and need to be protected from fire. The fire risks are increased when there are sources of ignition such as electrical faults that can appear in the electrical equipment which together with human error are the major causes of fire. The consequences of fires in this place can cause loss of materials, disruption to business continuity and human loss.

The Task

Top Fire VietNam Co.,LTD developed design, supply and installation a fire suppression system that is able to protect various flammable materials in those Control Rooms. Prerequisites System called for a modular, low space requirement, low maintenance total flooding fire firefighting. The system needed to be capable of extinguishing A, B, C classes of fire.

Why FirePro?

The characteristics displayed by FirePro technology’s systems was the key to choose those solution. Issues such the suitability to explosive environments, hugely effective fire extinguishing capability, easy maintenance and modularity were decisive factors in applying this technology for the needs faced in this particularly application.

Results of Implementation

Those Control Rooms wasn’t the first application of FirePro systems in Taekwang Industrial Group. FirePro system fire suppression solution since it combined all the operational and technical parameters required for the projects. With no piping required and no pressurized cylinders the system was promptly installed. It currently protects dangerous goods from fire and will proactively extinguish it without any collateral harmful effects to personnel or premises.
